The 31st Mussel and Cockle Festival continues with the opening of the 21st Opportunities Fair, organised by Vilanova Centro, on Avenida de O Recheo. The official opening of this activity was attended by the councillor of Vilanova, Gonzalo Durán; the deputy mayor and deputy, Javier Tourís; the president of the Vilanova Centro Association, Esther Prado, as well as other local representatives and companies collaborating with this initiative.
Gonzalo Durán ratified the good reception of the Fair of Opportunities, registering numerous visitors throughout the morning. ‘I think that success is assured and, moreover, each time they bring more things and better products,’ he said. The mayor encouraged neighbours and visitors to come to the town to discover all the potential of the commercial establishments in the municipality and to buy different types of articles at a reduced price.
For her part, Esther Prado, showed the satisfaction of the group because it is registering ‘quite a lot of people’, predicting that this could be ‘one of the best years’ in terms of attendance at this event. The president of Vilanova Centre recalled that the 21st Fair of Opportunities will be open from 10 AM to 2.30 PM and from 4.30 to 11 PM. “There is a variety of stands, children’s clothing, sports, shoes, jewellery…. There is even an entertainment tent for children that will be open both in the morning and in the afternoon so that parents can shop in peace”, she explained.
Javier Tourís indicated that this is one of the fairs of opportunities with more stands in the whole region of O Salnés, positioning it as an ideal option to complement the visit to the XXXI Vilanova Mussel and Cockle Festival. In this sense, he recalled the extensive programme of activities, highlighting tonight’s show by the Panorama Orchestra in O Cabo Park; the performance of Milladoiro, tomorrow in O Castro Square, and the end of the festival with Roi Casal in the Jardín Umbrío.
