The Mussel and Cockle Festival is possible thanks to the organization of Vilanova de Arousa Town Council, antd to the collaboration and involvement of different organizations and entities of the municipality and its immediate area of influence. Among them, the following stand out:
“A Pasatoriza” Fishermen's Guild
It is in charge of both the traditional procession in honour of the Virgen del Carmen (along with the acts before and after the sea procession of the image of the saint around the estuary) and providing produce for the food tent that is used to prepare the different dishes that are sold during the festival.
